Originally born a Veena, Xaia was found by the Coeurl tribe at the far edge of their territory at the base of the Skatay Range, presumably abandoned. Hardly old enough to speak, let alone take care of themselves, the Seeker tribe took them in. They adopted a female Seeker name given their likelihood of being female, and clung to the name as they grew. Now as much a member of the tribe as any Seeker, Xaia refers to them as family.During their early teenage years they were the victim of a snake bite; a viper native to Doma whose venom is known to rot the flesh. Unfortunately, Xaia took the bite to the throat. They were considered incredibly lucky to have survived the incident at all but their vocals were lost as a result, leaving the young Viera mute for life. While a struggle at first, they now easily communicate through sign language, writing, or the whistle-chirps of Miqo'te Huntspeak.In far more recent moons, they've found themselves faced with a new challenge. Sudden magic capabilities and more vulpine features. The healers that saved their life had taken note of something strange about their soul and hardiness but the recent changes have only proved it; Xaia is in fact a young Auspice - a Kitsune. They're still figuring it all out themselves, but their focus remains on helping others.

Workshop/Home

OOC note: Xaia's house is supposed to be located in Ul'dah but I don't want to fight the lottery system for a place there, so their actual in-game location will stay as Empyreum. Just try to ignore all the snow <3Location: Goblin - Empyreum, Ward 3 Plot 40Xaia's workshop also functions as their home though they've really only got a room or two dedicated to their personal space, the rest of the house makes up their workshop.The ground floor is a space designed for guests and clients, where they'll take orders and discuss their work. The basement is off limits to guests unless specifically invited down by Xaia, as this is the heart of their workshop and contains a great deal of dangerous or fragile creations. The upstairs is their apartment, often only inviting friends up when they aren't discussing work.
